On
April 19, 2006, I had surgery to replace my left knee. A few
days after I left the hospital, I decided I needed a shower.
I had been trained at the hospital on getting into and out
of a bathtub so I thought I had no problem. Wrong!!! Getting
into the tub, I fell. I broke open the incision in my leg
and the paramedics took me back to the hospital where I
stayed for 6 more weeks.
Before I fell, a home health worker had told me about a way
to make bathtubs safer for people like me. She had left a
circular about it. While I was in the hospital, my son
showed the circular to Greg Wallin and asked if the work
could be done on my tub. When I got home it was done!
A doorway was cut into my tub so all I have to do is step
over a 2-inch stoop. It makes it so easy to get in and out
of the tub. No, I can’t take a bath, but I can sure shower.
Along with the safety bar on the backside of the tub (also
installed by Wallin Plumbing) I can get into the tub with no
problem.
The installation was not too costly, and the good part of it
is, the piece removed from the tub can be replaced sometime.
I hope anyone who has a problem similar to mine will be told
about this “fixer” and will ask Wallin’s to explain it to
them.

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased
my family and I are with the TubCut unit you and your crew
installed for my mother. As you are aware, Mother has had
problems with her knees and hips for many years now. The
option of installing a new shower unit in her bathroom was
just not financially feasible. Your TubCut was an answer to
our prayers – literally!
Being in and out in less than a day – and Mom being able to
walk into a shower unit the next day after everything was
set up was amazing! And the unit looks like it came directly
from the factory!
Mom’s chair sits right in the tub and the grab bars make it
safe enough for her that she feels comfortable taking a
shower alone now. She is VERY happy.
Thanks again for a job well done and the peace of mind that
comes with the knowledge that Mother is safe and happy!

To Whom It May Concern:
Bath Access Nationwide, Did twenty-four tub cuts in our elderly housing agency. We allowed the tenant to choose if this was something they wanted done in their apartment. The tenants are very happy with the results. It has made their lives simpler and is making their bathing much safer. We are an elderly housing agency with ninety eight units. We only had a few with showers only, so when this was presented to the tenants many chose to have this done.
The crew doing the work was very professional. They completed the jobs on time, cleaned up after themselves and the tenants were very pleased with their work.
We would recommend their company to any housing agency or individual home owner. This is a company I would use in my own home if/when the time arrives.
